She chairs our Prayer & Mission Committee and is on the Worship Committee. PCC: Dawn Matthew is a Lay Reader and member of Standing Committee. Dawn loves singing and playing the flute, and she is also a member of our Childrens and Youth Strategy Group. She is on Fabric Committee and is one of our representatives at Deanery Synod. PCC Scott Cooper is a Lay Reader and member of Worship Committee. He is a Project Manager. PCC: Tony Hirons is in his fourth year as Churchwarden and Vice-Chair of PCC. He co-ordinated our successful Churchyard Improvement Grant from the Community Spaces Lottery Fund and continues to work on improving the Churchyard and building. He is also a Town Councillor. PCC: Andrew Collins is in his second year as Churchwarden. He chairs our Fabric Committee, keeping the building in good repair, and as part of our Youth Strategy Group he is also line manager for our Youth Worker. He is a Project Consultant. PCC: Gillian Gamble is our awesome Youthworker. She is jointly funded by the Diocesan Young People for Life programme and ourselves. She trained at Moorlands Bible College and works with young people in and outside of schools and Church. PCC: Margaret Jackson is our Pastoral Assistant. He is also one of our sound engineers and carries out many essential tasks around the Church. PCC: Rosemary Lowdon is Secretary and member of Standing Committee. She recently organised our Church Weekend Away. She works in the community as an Optometrist. PCC: Dave Millers is our Organist and is well known in the community for his productions with Lutterworth Musical Theatre Company, including this year’s Jesus Christ Superstar. He runs his own Taxi firm and is on Fabric Committee. PCC: Mollie Toye is a trained listener and Christian Counsellor. She heads up the Wholeness and Healing Team at Church and co-writes the Monthly Prayer Diary. Mollie enjoys gardening and makes excellent cakes. PCC: Andy Faulkner is Tree Warden for the hundreds of trees in the Churchyard. He is also our Fire Safety Officer, Website Co-ordinator and Annual Bike Ride Co-Ordinator. He works as an engineer for a power generation company. PCC: Vic Tuffen is our drummer and one of our Youth Leaders. As an Energy Consultant he is also our Energy Advisor and is working on getting us a new and efficient Church Boiler! He is a Foundation Governor at Lutterworth College and chairs our Childrens and Youth Strategy Committee. PCC: Fred Garratt is a nurse and member of Fabric Committee. He and Andy Collins built our new stage! PCC: Ben Smith runs a business caring for the elderly. He is one of our Deanery Synod Representatives and is on the Prayer and Mission Committee. PCC: Rosemary Loydall is a retired Lay Reader and member of Worship Committee. PCC: Martin Lowdon is one of our Deanery Synod Representatives and is also Deanery Treasurer and on Diocesan Synod. He is one of our Youth Leaders and works as Finance Manager for the charity The Gideons. PCC: Tommy Porter is our newest member of PCC, having been at St Mary’s since September 2009. After a long career in the automotive industry he now works for the Retail Motor Industry Federation and has an office in Rugby. He is a keen golfer and an active member of Lutterworth Golf Club. PCC: Derrick Eastwood chairs our Social Committee. He runs regular Mens’ Prayer Breakfasts and is interested in Church History.

PCC

The day-to-day running of the church is managed by the Parish Church Council or PCC. This comprises 12 elected church members plus church wardens, minister, readers and lay workers. These people bring an array of skills, experience and knowledge to the table. All positions are voluntary.

 

Here they are .....

 

Lesley Turner is a Lay Reader and College lecturer in Social Welfare and Sociology. She chairs our Prayer & Mission Committee and is on the Worship Committee.
